The STA Award in Swimming Teaching is the first step in your swimming teaching career. This qualification allows you to teach up to 10 beginners and assist in lessons with more advanced learners.

Pre-requisites

  • Candidates must be 16 years of age
  • Be a member of the STA
  • Hold a valid STA Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults certificate
  • Hold a valid STA Safety Award for Teachers certificate or equivalent
  • Must be able to attend 100% of the course
