Trainee Swimming Teacher

Unqualified Swimming Teacher – Sussex UK

MXT Swimming School are looking for un-qualified swimming teachers to join our team and train to become a swimming teacher. You will train to become part of a team that delivers the highest quality, specialised one-to-one swimming lessons. Lessons run six days a week at our two venues in Sussex: The Towers School, Upper Beeding, and MXT Rydon, Storrington.

We are looking for swimming teachers at both our venues, with after school, weekend, term-time and school holiday hours available.

Successful applicants will be able to choose their venue, days and times they are available for on completion of their STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming with our sister company MXT Centre for Training.

Job Role

*You will be trained and qualified to:

• Deliver fun, safe and high quality one-to-one swimming lessons
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist in the setting up the equipment for lessons
• Assist in the presentation of the facilities
• Be responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing or participants, spectators and colleagues
• Have knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable groups, Pool Safety Operating Procedures, and relevant legislation – Training will be given

Person Specification

• Be willing to train to become a qualified Level 2 Swimming teacher, with a pool rescue award
• Be available to train 27th to 31st May 2019
• Be able and willing to learn and develop new and existing skills
• Have knowledge of health, safety and relevant legislation relevant to teaching swimming
• Be able to understand and relate well to others including children and adults
• Be able to motivate and inspire participants
• Be able to provide a friendly approach to excellent customer service
• Be well organised and motivated
• Be able to work un-sociable hours, after school, weekends

Overview

Job Type: Permanent, Self-employed, part-time.

Salary: Starting at £8.00 p/h raising to £12.00 after successful induction training.
